I was using Elixir Nanoweb Phs Brnz on my Taylors .012's on the 414ceLTD and .013's on the 110 but I found another brand that sounded just as good for half the price. They seem to last about as long too. They were recommended by my local music store.

They are "John Pearse Acoustic" strings

Martin Marquis M1200 or Martin M150 .013 (Mediums) on everything except a little Martin M-38. That one has Martin Marquis M1100 or Martin M140 .012 (Lights). They are 80/20 (very basic) bronze wound and can be commonly found for under $4.00 per set. I change them often and usually purchase them 25 sets at a time. Have also used Martin SP Phosphor Bronze (Mediums & Lights) and those are okay, too. Prefer to use heavier strings, but the M-38 sounds and plays soooooo good with the Lights that it would probably be a waste of time to try heavier.

Have tried other brands and types, but I’m just not that critical on that aspect.

Also, keep hands clean (wash before playing), and clean strings with Dr. Stringfellow string cleaner after (and sometimes during if they need it) playing. This is probably as important to me as the brand and guage. Keeps them playing and sounding like new.

Martin MSP4100 .012 - .054 on the acoustic (and the poll). I've tried lighter strings, but went back to these.

On the electric, I'm experimenting with several brands of nickel round core strings, mostly 0.010 - 0.046.

I like Martin lights. I have no fingernails so fingerpicking on medium strings does not work too well.

I'm using Dean Markley Alchemy .012s on my Taylor 912ce, great tone and sustain. I'm also using Tomastick-Infeld George Benson Nickel Flat Wound .012 on my Gibson ES446s. Love the feel of flat wound strings on the electric when doing long slides.

Well, I just picked up some .011 D'Addario Custom Light Phosphor Bronze. I have no clue good, bad, or whatever because I haven't put them on yet. I have been just using some Fender .011 strings the local guitar shop suggested.

Currently I have D'Addario EJ17 Phosphor Bronze (med. .013-.056) on my Breedlove. The Yamaha has Elixir Nanoweb lights (.012-.053).

I've been using D'Addario EJ16-3D Light .012-.053 Phosphor Bronze for quite a while and haven't really tried anything else.
