What's your favorite type of string? Poll inside
To me, there is a HUGE difference between coated and non-coated strings. Non-coated feel rough and dirty where coated feel smooth and slick. I'll never go back to non-coated again unless its the only thing available. And even then...
I agree with you Andy,I used coated for the first time when I got my Col Clark electric, they came with the guitar and they are so smooth,I probably would never have tried them due to the extra cost but I'm now a convert.nice and quiet when sliding between chord's too.

.... never used coated strings before... sounds like I should at least try them out....
Edit: Oppps, just looked at the prices up to 4 times the price of non coated strings? Ouch!

Mark- I think all "coated" strings are Phosphor Bronze. I looked at Guitar Center's website and I couldn't find any listing for any coated strings other that Phosphor Bronze. If there are coated strings other than PB I should add a category.
I'll edit the poll to make this more clear! Thanks! :cheer:
I put other as coated Phosphor Bronze was not a choice.
