Picked up my '02 310 (dread/no electronics) for $600 on eBay back in '07. Not new of course, but in very 'gently used'. $2300 for a 3xx? That sounds pretty steep to me. Thought they came in at around $1500 msrp for a GA3 (what Taylor now calls the 'non-electronic/non-cutaway 310) according to taylorguitars.com, and listed at around $1150 at Guitar Center.
Bought both my Taylors (the 310 in 2007 and an '04 414ce in 2009 [$1100]) off of eBay. Of course, spent some time playing around with similar make/models at the local music stores first to settle on the basic, and while no 2 guitars are exactly alike, it has worked out well for me. Now if I could just learn to play them...
Had my eye on an 814ce-L (cocobolo special edition) last week, but only if I could 'steal' it. Priced out of my range the last day so I passed, but I was drooling.
