Actually, I am pretty good about changing my strings. I like the sound and feel of new strings. The 3 guitars that I play most, I change about every 3 weeks. My nylon strings are changed about every 6 weeks. The 12-string about every two months.
I also admit that using the "Spin Doctor" really makes changing strings a breeze. If you don't have one, get one! They are only about $5.

Poll: How Often Do You Change Your Strings?
Bill,
My oh my do you have a good problem with ALL of those guitars.  For me I use coated Phosphor Bronze so I'm usually good for 3-4 weeks for the acoustic. My cheap strat which is sitting in the closet will probably never get changed as I have't picked that up in a few years now.

Not often enough!
Seriously, the guitar I use in the teaching studio never gets changed as I never have time when I am there. A nice Santa Cruz Guitar with rusty barbed wire strings is a travesty.
On the other hand, the guitar I use for videos I am much nicer to, every 2-3 weeks depending on the weather and amount of playing time involved.

So, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" doesn't apply to guitar strings???
I'm glad you guys said something. Wow, that's much better now!
Seriously, probably four weeks, maybe longer or sometimes shorter depending on how much I've played and if I'm just noodling around.
