Although I've always liked both acoustic and electric blues, I probably lean more to the electric side.

I personally favor Tab Benoit's no-frills style.

I'd have to say the: Charley Patton, Blind Blake, Big Bill Broozny, & Mississippi John Hurt side of the blues appeals to me more. And, I really like R.L. Burnside a whole lot!

* I recently discovered this documentary in a used music store called the "You See Me Laughin'The Last of the Hill Country Bluesman" And it was quite inspiring & entertaining. I would recommend it to anyone whohasn't seen it & loves the blues. Two parts of the documentary can be viewed on YouTube...just key search "You see Me Laughin"

*Featured: Cedell Davis, T-Model Ford, Junior Kimbrough, R.L. Burnside, cameos by Bono
and Iggy Pop

lueders,

Thanks for the tip on the video! It is available through Netflix and it is now in my queue.

I love to sit back and play a slow blues in E and try to expand my blues riff vocabulary. Admittedly my riff dictionary is not very thick but it is loads of fun trying. Lightning Hopkins, Mississippi John Hurt, Big Bill, Robert Johnson are just a few I am listening to a lot.

My choice is Acoustic Blues. Since I don't own or play electric guitar. Heaven knows I don't need another guitar...or do I :)

Both!

And if I can't say both, I'll be satisfied with either one.

Acoustic finger style blues, please. I sold my electric guitar to concentrate solely (soul-ly) on the acoustic guitar.
