Unusual Gift

Yesterday was my Birthday and my Wife gave me two guitar picks for my Birthday gift... Two picks you say that was big of her...

Well let me tell you they are one of the best gifts ever I've received. Here are two photos, the first is an actual photo of one , the second is from the makers site and has two Koru's whereas mine has a single Koru (The koru (Māori for "bight" or "loop") is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolising new life, growth, strength and peace.

Brazilian agate standard pick.

This stone is one of the hardest and best stones for guitar picks and will improve the tone of your playing.

The colour is Coca-cola brown with one speck of white on the edge.

It is a standard pick and measures 30 mm high, 27 mm at the widest point and is 1.8 mm thick tapering to a bevelled playing edge

Mine is not a pendant but a 'normal' pick. Oh and they are hand carved! Which makes them a wee bit more expensive lol!

Actual pick Jill bought me. Cool eh! It's Jade or as its called in NZ Greenstone.

That's a cool gift. Something relevant and a bit unusual. I like Jill's taste.

Its a bit scary knowing the value of these, I usually pay about a $NZ 1.00 each lol. These won't be leaving home but will be for special occasions.

Happy Birthday gone Chas! Nice idea Jill had to show you two plectrums and ask you to take your pick, eh? :-) Didn't that used to involve Paddies and shovels?
