Well in the hope of broadening my song scope (as i have been introduced to many new songs through TG) I would like to ask what your top ten songs are, I know this is a very difficult thing to do but i found it fun. Plus I like to see what other peoples taste are like :)

So if you could only listen to TEN songs again what would they be??? in no particular order as that would be just making a hard task harder.

If you all play I will be introduced to a lot more songs B)

thanks in advance

Brad

Here I go

1. MYSTERY GIRL - ROY ORBISON... Just a beautiful voice and a haunting song..

2. JUST BREATHE- EDDIE VEDDAR... love eddies vocals... powerful lyrics and great picking tune

3. GOING TO THE END OF THE LINE- TRAVELLING WILBURYS.. well put great artist together and something great is bound to happen.. love the video also

4. TAKE A CHANCE ON ME- ABBA.. lol  come on who doesnt get pumped when this song plays, it can't be just me.. I blame mum she played them to death growing up

5.SONG BIRD- EVA CASSIDY.. A woman version of Roy orbison and mystery girl.. this song has the same effect on me.. beautiful voice sad :(

6.HEARTLIGHT- NEIL DIAMOND.. My 16 year old dog was dying and I had to put her to sleep and I mad a video of her with this song of her last days.. when you don't have children these become the closest things we had her when i first met my wife... Try watching this video and not cry  miss ya tiger..

7. WALK THE LINE- JOHNNY CASH.. Love the guitar /bass part of this song ..great movie too

8. IF NOT FOR YOU- GEORGE HARRISON.. Well its fresh on my mind but I love the slide sound and george sings this well

9.HARVEST MOON- NEIL YOUNG.. I was 22 and working in a bakery and it was 3 am in the morning when I first heard this song.. it was just different to all the other songs on radio at the time.. so laid back and you live the song, love the sound of the broom sweeping the floor.

10.FLAME TREES- COLD CHISEL..f your an aussie male this would be on a lot of lists, great song and great aussie band.

There are so many great songs that could be added, but thats the fun and the challenge... hope you can join in

Well - Here is the deal for me at least (great question by the way)- I decided to to do top 10's like Tony, only songs that have yet to make it to Target ...This is the next batch for me of all time playables on my Ipod, that are not in the outside Genres of electronica for instance (which I like), but are "classics"...And hell is this hard...so I went to my ipod and checked to make sure I was on right track, but hard to separate and frankly I would listen to any song from these artists..over and over..and almost all of these I have tried convincing Neil to do it somehow or teach me..so yes this is a real list, maybe not cool, or as eclectic as some of the lists I imagine but real for me..

So although I chose nothing from Target obviously some are there , some Beatles , some Floyd, and then Silent lucidity, Romeo and Juliet, Metallica, sorry but we already know those ....so In the interests of exposing my poor taste more ... and there were many close casualties that did not quite make it..UG...

So here is the oh crap I only have 10 list ..

1- Alan Parsons - Eye in the Sky
2- Mike Oldfield - 5 Miles out
3- David Gilmour - Je Crois Entendre Encore
4-Roger Hodgson - Fools Overture
5- Supertramp- Logical song
6- Genesis - Fading Lights
7- Robert Cray - Time makes two
8- Joe Satriani - Always with you always with me
9- Neil Diamond - Morningside
10- Frankie goes to hollywood - Power of love

Here is the hey ok if I only get 10 more

1- Peter Gabriel - In your eyes
2- Pink FLoyd - High hopes
3- David Byrne - Nothing but flowers
4-SPlit Enz- I got you
5-David and David - Aint so easy
6- David Bowie - Lets Dance
7- Midnite Oil - Put down that weapon
8 - Icehouse - Great southern Land
9 - The Cars - Moving in Stereo
10- Coldplay - Fix you
