Seven of my top 10 songs were sung by women. This is about as eclectic a list as you'll ever see.

1. Piece of my heart (Big Brother & the Holding Company)
2. Crazy (Patsy Cline)
3. Cry on my shouider (Bonnie Raitt)
4. The difficult kind (Sheryl Crow)
5. Our lips are sealed (The Go-Go's)
6. Reasons for waiting (Jethro Tull)
7. Bushfire (Midnight Oil)
8. New toy (Lene Lovich)
9. Bei mir bist du schön (The Andrews Sisters)
10. Let's go to bed (The Cure)
I think you're right, that might be the most eclectic list ever.
Impressive, Sir. I got to admit I was surprised by the Go-Gos. (pretty darn melodic little pop group though)

Vanessa,

Wanted Dead or alive has, in my opinion, one of the coolest guitar solos ever.

Scott

ps, I've kept away from pick 10 here. Some things a guy just can't possibly do.

Well, Brad I'm flattered you think I could cobble together a listen-able version. I'm not sure I play it right I just play it may way. It ain't that hard it is super-slow shuffle...G, C, Em, D, I'll try to do it sure. But that mean you have to put up with my crappy vocals...OHh, oh![/quote]

I have no doubt it will be awesome... looking forward to it..

well if it is good enough for mcgowen, dillian you will be fine... as i wouldnt call them great singers but they are well liked and have there own sound.. which we all have. practice practice it will get better :)

I met my love( do dodod odo ) by the gas works wall :woohoo: B)

And where is that damn Aussie slang thread when you need it?
Cori,

Assuming you were referring to my comment 'Ha! Buckley's mate.' Here's an explanation.

The full saying is: 'You've got two chances; Buckley's and none.'

Buckley was an Irishman and must have been a really unlucky guy, because the saying means 'there is no chance'. And just saying 'Buckley's' means the same thing.

In short, I was saying there is no way I can pick my top 10 songs. Basically, I can never remember all the songs I know and like, yet alone my favourites, yet alone the top 10.

I agree with Ness. It was just another impossible question.

Sorry for the colloquialism; use of Aussie slang, shortened Aussie slang at that.

I hope that helps. End of lesson.

Michele
