I had no idea that Paul's lookalike brother, Ed, even existed, but here they are doing "Anji" on the Beeb in 1968. Ladies and gentlemen, Simon and Simon:
Paul Simon and his brother perform "Anji."
Neil has mentioned Anji a few times as a future lesson, so it's coming at some point. I'm looking forward to it, but also have plenty to work on in the meantime. For instance, I mean to have "Linus & Lucy" down cold by Christmas, and even that will be a challenge.
Anji is an acoustic classic.
I'm a bit surprised that Neil hasn't done a lesson on it already, but I'm sure it's in the pipeline.
One of the problems Neil might have is that there are at least 4 well versions of this song.
Davey Graham, Paul Simon, Bert Jansch and John Renbourn have all done versions of this.
This all makes for one big lesson.

Well, what do you know! Thanks for posting that Walt. I had no idea Paul had a clone-like brother and wasn't aware of that BBC clip from way back (lucky the tape wasn't wiped and reused in the 60's). I kept checking the clip to see if it wasn't some kind of spoof. I must have missed it if Dennis posted it too... must have been on the balcony re-stringing my guitar.
