Hello Dear friends here,i have a question about my Yamaha APX900 guitar.
The 9 volt block have not a long live,Other guitars i can do 6 moands with a 9 volt blok.
But in the Yamha maby 1 moand, ore somtimes shorter.
Now i have a block chargeble, but that gives not the 9 volts he needs.
2 weeks ago i bring 4 guitars to a person for checking al the things on it.
He told me that when i put a chargeble block in the guitar, that the pre amp give not the right thing.
Sorry that i'm serching for the right words.
Hoop you understand it.
Have a other member the same problem with that??

cheers..........Anton

Hi Anton, I had a similar problem once with the battery not lasting. I discovered however that leaving the guitar lead plugged in also left the preamp running and using battery even when the guitar was not in use. This maybe not the same as your issue, but now I never leave the guitar lead plugged in problem solved! Also, one of my guitars, the Cole Clark came with advice never to use rechargeable batteries but high end batteries like Energizer Ultimate Lithium

Hi Anton, batteries only have a shelf life. Meaning that as a battery lays on the shelf in your local shop it is going dud! This is because the flow of electrons within, is coating one of the two poles in the battery as it sits there waiting to be bought, this is a big reason for batteries failing. What this means is, you should always buy your batteries from a shop which has a quick turnover so that you get newer ones when you buy them. This may not be your problem though, it could be that something is drawing excessive current because of a fault, as you can guess this would eat up batteries too. Just my thoughts on this.
