thanks to everyone sharing their string choices. i'll be researching some of those also.
great thing is that there are so many string choices out there, why not experiment once i a while, right.

I ONLY use John Pearse 12's on my Takamine. I've tried dozens of others but the JP's always outshine them all. But like everyone else said it depends on the guitar. I have a 30 yr old Fender F-5 that only sounds good with EXP's on it and my Martin D-35 sounds the best with Elixer Nanoweb 13s.
