hehehe ....

Now that I've got your attention, I wonder if you'd like to highlight a guitarist who especially impressed you by his ability to use his thumb
... I guess on his picking/strumming hand, but then again, who knows what's out there?

Here's one by Joe Crookston, one of my fingerpicking heroes: his own version of Supertramp's "The Logical Song".

I couldn't resist posting two performances of this song, seen from different angles, :side:
and different general performance setting.

Joe Crookston, The Logical Song

Pierre, that guy is really terrific. Aside from his excellent playing, what a novel arrangement of the song!

Daryl, is David Wilcox playing a carbon fiber guitar?

Holy crap, Max, that version of Sultans is amazing! That's one of the most action-packed guitar pieces I've ever seen.

My favorite thumb player. His bio is worth the read. My old guitar teacher challenged me to learn "four on six" and I've been a fan ever since. No surprise that he and someone else we know use the same method to solo.

Thanks for starting this thread Pierre. Daryl, Max, and Takhak, thanks for the additions. I've been introduced to some incredible musicians that I think are amazing! To quote my friend Dennis, "Holy Crap!!!"
