A murder of crows, a flock of sheep, a cuddle of poodles, a thicket of idiots.... A [what] of guitars?

How can it be possible that there's no collective noun for a bunch of guitars? The link below lists collective nouns for all manner if things. ... But zilch for guitars. Trumpets have one; a flourish of trumpets. Tubas have one; a tumult of tubs. Why not guitars?

Outrageous! We must remedy this. So bring them on.

What do you think a group of guitars should be called? Put your thinking caps on!

Besides 'mine, all mine, oh my lovely preciousesssseses' . :)

Wiley - you'll be very happy to know that a group of poker players is called a 'stud'. Hilarious, a stud of poker players. Sounds like wishful thinking to me. :P

Perhaps we need a 'very important question of the day' section on the new forum. :)

Ahhh yes, the conventional band. But... Surely we can come up with something a bit more exciting.

Like a thunder of basses (I don't know if basses have a collective noun).

Or a Thrash of guitars, or a ....

'Pluckfest' nice one

A tree-full. I see where you're going with that Willem. How many guitars fit in a tree? :)

How about a hayseed of banjos. :)

A strum of ukuleles. Hmmm ... Too boring.

A 'gas' excellent! A few of us defintiely have a gas of guitars. :)

Going with the axe theme, how about a 'hack of guitars' or 'thwack of guitars' ? :)
