Chris,
the answer... by being a piece of S--t. Took me a 1/2 hour just to get the battery in. And it is far from accurate.

I'm fairly certain it was offered as a way to get one's email address and put their URL out there.

Just got mine today. Oddly, it took me about 30 seconds to install the battery (Bill?). And I put both the new tuner and my old Snark tuner on my guitar and they displayed identical tuning indicators. The display on the new tuner is crisper. Hopefully, we will hear from Bob soon.

Well Daryl,
I guess you have more manual dexterity (or patience) than I do. :) As far as accuracy, that's more a function of my obsession with tempered tuning than tuning to pitch. I have two tuners I use for tempered tuning, one a Peterson Strobo Clip that cost $70, and the other is an app on my phone called Pitch Lab (free). Pitch Lab gives you frequency readings to the nearest cent. Using a tempering chart I get a real nice sweetened tuning that most tuners just can't do. Perfectionism is both a blessing and a curse

Got mine today as well. Will admit that if the battery cover said "twist" or had arrows indicating to twist, it might have made sense. No issues though. Works just fine for now.

Thanks Daryl!

Bart
