I really enjoyed Kenny's music. Just talking about him with a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago. I only knew him as a solo singer and duets with other famous artists like Dolly and others. Ted told me about an old group he was in at a much younger age. Pretty interesting....

R.I.P. Kenny. Your music will live on.....

Kenny was awesome. You are correct Bart about the old band. Kenny Rogers and the First Edition. Their big hit was "I Just Dropped In ( to see what condition my condition was in.) One of my favorite tunes from 1967. Here are a couple links. The first one is Kenny back in the day. The second is from the Big Lebowski..

RIP Kenny......

Peace,

Ted

You picked a fine time to leave us, Kenny!

My favorite was always his cover of this Mel Tillis song....

Was it Kenny Rogers who advertised "The quick pickin', fun strummin' guitar course"?
This was probably back in the eighties.

That was news to me Lynn. But I Googled it and sure enough, a much younger Kenny was at the helm of that guitar course.

Long before the days of TG.....

Great old tune! I'd forgotten that Kenny played bass.
