Hello all,
I recently purchased a mixer to accomodate my husband's continued hearing decline (when we play acoustically, everything gets muddled). We plug guitars into the mixer and run the sound out through headphones. This allows him to mix everything so he can hear what he needs to hear.
One of my acoustic guitars has no onboard pickup, so I'm looking for one that can be easily installed (DIY). We are not performers, never going to perform, so this is simply for our own playing. Hoping to stay under $150.
Also we need a mic for getting voice into the mixer. Same purpose here, so nothing fancy. I'd love to hear recommendations. Under $200 please.
Thanks,
Lynn

Lynn,

How about 2 mics? One for guitar and one for voice. Solid choices would be Shure SM57 and SM58, about $100 each. A couple stands and cables and you are good to go. Check Sweetwater https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... microphone

Thanks, Neil,
I hadn't even considered that.
Geez, now I have to do more research!
