Thanks Mike. It is interesting that bean counters have not only affected the quality of the products today but also 50 years ago. It is a good thing that Martin listened to their customers, instead

In my opinion ... Sitka doesn’t seem quite as resonant, it has a different overtone. Adirondack – mostly it’s the response, I think if you were to describe the sound. It’s got a crackle and immediacy to the tone that some people say is not quite this present in Sitka.
Help ! What kinda ears do these people have? I still can't tune my guitar without an electronic tuner!
