Mike, I really enjoy seeing you present all this guitar and mandolin lore as well as playing so well. Inspiration!

I just saw the following video, in which a funny-looking instrument is presented as a "bass mandolin". Do you plan on discussing or demonstrating this instrument in the future

Hi Cosmicmechanic. Probably not this specific type of instrument although it is interesting...never seen one before quite like this. It appears to be more of a modified bass guitar. I'll probably demonstrate a mandola (tuned a fifth below a mandolin A-D-G-C) or a mando-cello, (one octave below a mandola). Those are really killer instruments that you don't see very often.
