Our roving reporter Mandolin Mike Mullins briefly introducing his chance to sit down with a couple of San Francisco Bay Area musical icons Frank Ford and Richard Johnston. In 1969 they opened Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto, just down the road from Stanford University. They quickly became an acoustic guitarists haven and destination not to be missed when in Northern California.
