Hi Everyone,

Your weekly wrap up awaits...

Have a wonderful weekend!

October 21, 2011

The big news this week is we are starting to roll out some of the site
changes that Matt has envisioned for quite a long time. Today it
started with a new navigational menu at the top of every page. This
will makes it much easier to get to all your favorite places quicker.
There are quite a few more changes just around the corner to continue
our implementing our goals os streamlining and simplifying TG.

On the content side we added a few songs and Fly On The Wall lessons
to the Target Program. The week started with a look at Watching The
Wheels by John Lennon, one of the great songs from his last completed
album, Double Fantasy. Then we jumped ahead into the 21st century with
a lesson on Photograph by Nickelback. Their songs usually have
interesting, although simple chords, that are very playable as long as
you have some experience with barre chords. At the end of the week we
stepped back about 40 years with the short Paul Simon piece Bookends.
This is a nice little guitar tune with come classical hints.

We also added a couple new lessons to our Fly On The Wall Series. The
first was with Sandy on an instrumental arrangement of Yesterday, and
the second was Fred tackling Ain't No Sunshine. Yesterday has been in
the Target Program for quite a while and Ain't No Sunshine is one we
are considering. Be sure to visit our Recommend A Lesson section if
you think this would be a good idea.

Jack van Breen put a keyboard through a nice workout in a piece on the
Roland RD300-NX. You can find that over on the Music Gear Review blog,
now instantly accessible through our new top menu bar. Again, this is
where you can now get quickly to any of our sections.

Have fun with the new navigation and be sure to be working on some of
your ghoulish tunes for next week!

Stay Tuned & In Touch,

Neil

I just watched your video with Juber ... I'm speechless. Absolutely phenomenal playing by both of you.
Watching stuff like that really brings home home much more there is to learn!

Vanessa, I've actually tried to piece together the intro to Far Away, and would really love to see Neils version. SO, I went to "recommend a lesson" and well, I recommended it. So all you have to do now, is vote on it. Oh by the way, when your there, take a look at "What would you say" by Dave Mathews. See if it needs a vote as well.
