Hi Everyone,
Here is you weekly video wrap up for this week......

Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

This week we got back into the world of Slack Key Guitar with a couple
of easy songs. We started the week with a short waltz, The Moloka’i
Waltz. this is a great place for the budding Slack Key player to
start. A good continuation piece was released as well called Kimo’s
Slack Key. Both of these are in Open G Tuning, also known as Taro
Patch Tuning. Along the same lines we sat in on Sandy’s lesson on
Moloka’i Waltz, her first look at something in an altered tuning.
Another Fly On The Wall video was done with a student new to the FOW
program, Pete. He was working on a couple of Damien Rice tunes and
this week we started Volcano. If you are working on that be sure to
take a look at Pete’s lesson.
At the end of the week we went north of the border for one of my
favorite bands, The Guess Who. This was a Canadian band led by
guitarist Randy Bachman and vocalist (and multi-instrumentalist)
Burton Cummings. this week’s entry was their first big hit, These
Eyes. The lesson transcribe the keyboard opening into a nice little
jazzy guitar intro. The rest of the song included some unusual chords
and challenging strumming.
That’s what we had on tap for our Target members this week, I hope
everybody enjoyed the additions.
Until next week…
Stay Tuned & In Touch,
Neil

Sorry, the tongue in cheek sarcasm didn't translate through the text. Lennon went to great lengths to copy Buddy's recording as precisely as he could. Something The Beatles didn't do much after their break through. Buddy was clearly one of John's biggest heroes and influences.TGNeil wrote:I'm pretty sure Buddy didn't know of Lennon or the Beatles before the plane crash......daryl wrote:Are you sure Buddy didn't steal that from Lennon?buddy holly words of love?
