Hi Everyone,
The Weekly Wrap Up is ready!
http://www.totallyguitars.com/blog/tota ... -2012.html
Have a great weekend!
This week the Target Program included additions of some of my favorite songs, and I’m sure a few surprises to many people. We added complete lessons on David Bowie’s Space Oddity, Billy Joel’s She’s Always A Woman, and the long requested Peter Green instrumental masterpiece Oh Well (Part Two). We also had a Fly On The Wall video looking at Dave Brubeck’s classic Take Five, as well as a bit with Sandy working on creating her own composition.
I can’t emphasize enough how important ear training is to a developing musician as and such really recommend checking out Jim Bruno’s ongoing series at TotallyVocals.com. It is called The Listen And Recognize Series and you don’t have to be a singer to get a lot out of it.
I also would like to thank a couple of our behind the scenes crew, Larry Baron and Jack van Breen, although Jack is more front of the scene, for the great articles they do over at Guitar Showcase. This week was special as a truck pulled in bringing tons (literally!) of gear from Steve Miller. Steve accumulates way too much gear and equipment and occasionally decides it’s time to unload some. Guitar Showcase gets most of this and offers it for sale. This week we have a quick preview of the gear arriving. Hopefully much more details to follow soon, enjoy.
Stay Tuned & In Touch,
Neil
On the Beat - Episode 115 - Weekly Guitar video news wrap up May 18th, 2012
Thanks Neil,
Off the top I heard Fly Like an Eagle, then China Cat Sunflower, Nice one! Yes please! Some tips on China Cat would be unbelievable. I didn't recognize the song that you played that was a request of Matt's. Looks like Steve Miller has Waaay too many guitars! Beaker.
