This week I finally got around to a couple of lessons on songs that
had been on the Recommend A Lesson list since the very early days,
Love Her Madly by The Doors and Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash.
Folsom Prison Blues is a pretty straightforward country tune but we
take a short look at a little lead lick as well. Love Her Madly is a
great strumming song but the lesson incorporates the bass line and
even a short chord solo built on the closing lead.

We also had two interesting Fly On The Wall videos. The first was a
look at Kathy’s Song by Simon & Garfunkel, paying particular attention
to some of the nice guitar work of Paul Simon. The second was Fred
running through The Story In Your Eyes where I am encouraging him to
play more recklessly in the interest of a more musical feel.

Our Student Review this week was on John Lennon’s Watching The Wheels
and there were some pointers on counting carefully and adding in a
little piano run.

Nickelback has been a popular artist around here and we put together a
5-Pack of their lessons for our members who prefer the a la carte
method of learning.

Next week- something really new and something really old, probably
completely unexpected and never mentioned here (I think). Get those
guesses in early!

Till then… Stay Tuned & In Touch,

Neil

That Spanisch sound was a kinda cool and liked the harmony background sound of a sort of water streaming or was it the beefsteak on the furnace.. B)

On this moment we have a lot of sun and it looks like summer so send more vibrations pleaaaaaaaaaseeeeee.

Nice weekend.
