This week was heavy on our Fly On The Wall videos with segments
covering Walk On The Wild Side, Bob Dylan’s Song To Woody, and an ear-
training/memorization lesson on Moloka’i Waltz. We also had a Student
Review on a Rolling Stones song and a short excursion into the
flatpicking world with The Eagles’ version of Seven Bridges Road.

This was a very fun week at TG Central as two of our members dropped
in on Monday and we might have a fun Fly video out of it if the
neighborhood gardeners aren’t too audible.

There were some good questions floating around on the Forum this week
and I took a minute to talk about muting, and probably too many
minutes to go over some rhythm and counting concepts.

I had hoped to get into a segment on Renaissance music but that will
be saved for another day, hopefully next week.

There was a bit of playing, starting wit Francisco’ Tarrega’s piece
Lagrima, a lesson we have here under Hector Garcia and our classical
section. There were also a few snippets of Venezuelan Waltz #2 by
Antonio Lauro and a short improv around what should be a very familiar
theme to everybody.

Till next week, stay tuned & in touch,

Neil

Neil

Thanks for the Weekly News.

There is a lesson Lagrima by Hector Garcia.
That was a nice start to the news.

Thanks for the left hand mute explanations.

Neil, there is a lesson on Lagrima done by Hector. I think it would really be nice if you would review that lesson, and then do that voodoo that you do, if you see an area that would make it easier for us to learn. Popeye's theme could be fun too.

All in all, Merry Christmas to you and your family Neil. Thanks for all the gifts you've given us.

Scott
