I have a Taylor 114 ce without a pick guard and has a satin finish.
Around the sound hole I am getting wear from my pick.
Is there any way or anything to stop the rubbing off of the finish by the pick?

You don't mention if the wear is occurring where a pick guard would be if you had one or if it's close to the sound hole. If it's the former, you can always install a pick guard. I have a clear one on one of my Taylors, and you can hardly even see it.

If it's the latter, you've got bigger problems. This is going to seem obvious, and I'm not trying to make a joke at your expense, but the best thing you can do is to lighten up on your strumming a bit and improve your technique.

Yes, Dennis is correct. Get a clear pick guard and this will help eliminate any further marks on the guitar.

Bob Taylor himself has said that pickguards on his instruments are mostly cosmetic and you can go without one if you want to.

I took the pickguard off of my GSMini after reading that quote in the Wood & Steel Mag.

No issues so far.
