Today’s News included thoughts about some of the threads on the Forum: sad songs, fingernails, busking and the banner. I was in a bit of an old timey/jazzy/swing mood and played pieces of some Dan Hicks songs. Maybe lessons on one or two are on the horizon.

This week we wrapped up our visit with Jim Page with a couple more songs, Anna Mae and a Lightning Hopkins tune. I certainly hope we can get more from him next time he’s in Northern California. The new Target releases were a sight-reading exercise, Study #1, The Stranger Song by Leonard Cohen, and How Far We’ve Come by Dawes.

It also occurred to me that we recently passed the 4th anniversary of the Target Program. Thanks to the entire TG Community of great people who have made this work for us.

I also want to thank everybody for the nice comments about Rebecca’s presentation for her class. It was quite a treat to be able spend a few days with her and hang with a group of college students. Fond memories/experiences on many fronts.

Stay Tuned & In Touch,

Neil

No offense Neil, but you need to stick with steel strings. Dance with the one the brung ya!

As for the jazz stuff, now maybe you should have kept the Country Gentleman around for the JAZZ.

oh and by the way, nice shirt :)
