Hey Everyone!
The Weekly Wrap Up is ready!
Enjoy!

This week included another great surprise lesson from Vanessa, Tainted Love by Soft Cell. This is a great example of a song that
may not have had distinctive guitar parts in the recording but translates pretty well into a percussive extravaganza. We also got
into the meat of the Villa-Lobos Etude, up to the pyro-technic fingerboard flash where the whole thing takes a short but big detour
into completely different techniques.
There was a Student Review on Paul Simon’s American Tune, as well as a Fly On The Wall Lesson with Ed getting further into Davey
Graham’s Anji.
I also commented on a couple interesting Forum threads, one comparing Song Surgeon with Guitar Pro, and the other on quantity
of performable songs. This led me to trying to resurrect a couple Gordon Lightfoot songs that I used to play (and sing!) a lot. I’ll
leave the mixed results up to you to analyze or comment on.
Almost half way through the year, on to July next week!
