I really appreciate the positive responses to the God Only Knows lesson. I keep meaning to get
more advanced/intermediate instrumental arrangements up and it was about time for this one.
The other new stuff for the week was a Free Songwriting Collaboration (which I was thrilled to
see a quick addition to!), a further look at Sandy’s assault on I Heard It Through The Grapevine,
and Vanessa’s lesson on Marry Me by Train.

Aside from reviewing that, I got off on the usual number of tangents: IGC thoughts, our Swiss
vacationers, video uploads for review, Beatles instrumental lesson possibilities, then a really
unexpected diversion when I tried to get to a demonstration of Big Bill Broonzy’s thumping technique.

As usual, I hope it was coherent but that is never a really high priority!

Maybe back next week…

Neil

PS. …probably not, as explained in the recap.

If the camp was in July, and in the Swiss Alps, I think I'd have to quit cutting fingers off, and make that one. Oh yeah!

I got your tab from the Beatle tune 'when I'm 64" it would be great to have a full lesson on that, the song and instrumental.

The Chris Alps, I could make it but not sure, depends on a lot of things.

The mystery gast, I hope its Dermot or Rick.

Can I remind you to teach us how Keith Richard played in "Angie"

Yeah, I'm really disappointed that I can't make camp this year. :( I am free now but booked out from 17 August through to October. So.... camp next year in Switzerland end of July or first 2 weeks of August would be absolutely perfect! I will research the possibilities and get back to you Neil. Maybe you could pm basic requirements and must haves / nice to haves.

Hey folks, sounds like an amazing idea.

Willem, thanks for your suggestion that I come.
Unfortunately, in many ways it's unlikely I'd manage as much as I'd love to !

I've thought it through again: In thruth, I hope it'll be two camps next year, one in July (Switzerland) and the usual one in September. I just LOVE California too!!! :cheer: Oh and another one near the East Coast (USA) in May/June would be awesome too, haha!!
