Hi Everyone,

We have a new Acoustic Snap Shot today!

Our third annual International Guitar Camp was held at the Presentation Center in Los Gatos, California, September 2-6, 2015.

Each evening’s open mic started with short sets by some of the teachers at our third International Guitar Camp. Thursday night kicked off with Doug Young, who had been on the staff at all three IGCs. He played a mix of original and cover pieces in a few alternate, and even unusual tunings.

Doug Young offered some workshops this year that focused on alternate tunings and was always on hand for semi-private lessons throughout the camp session.

Enjoy!

That's really beautiful music Doug. Thank you for being there for us at IGC, and teaching all of us how to be better guitarists. You play so effortlessly through all of the alternate tunings, you obviously have a superb understanding of how it all works. Hope we see you again at IGC 2016. :)

Doug is truly amazing. The sounds that he gets from his tunings, are great. Particularly that little sawed off twelve string.. Sorry I missed it.

I finally was able to log in and got to hear Doug again.

The sound that he gets is phenomenal and seems so effortless for him. I truly enjoyed his classes and look forward to see him again.

It was a thrill to meet Doug Young at camp. I bought Doug's CD Closing Time a couple of years ago when i was starting to look at alternate tunings, I never thought i would get to see Jock O'Hazeldean and Autumn Roads played live !
