Lots of “colorful” chords here Michele!

I was going to play the rhythm and lead parts but I decided these guys did a fantastic job already so I just did the bass.

If you want to play along:

Capo4
(C) (C+) (Am) (C+)

(C) You never wear a stitch of lace
(Am) Your powder's never on your face
(F) You're always wearing jeans except on Sun (E7) day

(Am) So please don't ever change
(C+) No don't you ever change
(C) I kind of like you just the way you (F) are (G)

(C) You don't know the latest dance
(Am) But when it's time to make romance
Your (F) kisses let me know you're not a tom (E7) boy

(Am) So please don't ever change
(C+) No don't you ever change
(C) Just promise me you're always gonna (F) be (G)
As sweet as you are (C) (C7)

I (F) love you when you're (F+) happy
I (F6) love you when you're (F+) blue
I (F) love you when you're (F+) mad at me
So (G) how can (F) I get (Em) tired of (Dm) you?

(C) A lots of other girls I've seen
(Am) They know how to treat guys mean
But (F) you would rather die than ever hurt (E7) me

(Am) So please don't ever change
(C+) No don't you ever change
(C) Just promise me you're always gonna (F) be (G)
As sweet as you are (C) (g a b c d)

(C) Please don’t ever change
(C+) Don’t you ever change
(Am) Please don’t ever change
(C+) Don’t you ever change
(C)

Or without the capo…..

(E) (E+) (Eadd6) (E+)

(E) You never wear a stitch of lace
(C#m) Your powder's never on your face
(A) You're always wearing jeans except on Sun (G#) day

(C#m) So please don't ever change
(E+) No don't you ever change
(E) I kind of like you just the way you (A) are (B)

(E) You don't know the latest dance
(C#m) But when it's time to make romance
Your (A) kisses let me know you're not a tom (G#) boy

(C#m) So please don't ever change
(E+) No don't you ever change
(E) Just promise me you're always gonna (A) be (B)
As sweet as you are (E) (E7)

I (A) love you when you're (A+) happy
I (A6) love you when you're (A+) blue
I (A) love you when you're (A+) mad at me
So (B) how can (A) I get (G#m) tired of (F#m) you?

(E) A lots of other girls I've seen
(C#m) They know how to treat guys mean
But (A) you would rather die than ever hurt (G#) me

(C#m) So please don't ever change
(E+) No don't you ever change
(E) Just promise me you're always gonna (A) be (B)
As sweet as you are (E)

(E) Please don’t ever change
(E+) Don’t you ever change
(Eadd6) Please don’t ever change
(E+) Don’t you ever change
(E)

The Beatles did cover it (on the BBC at least). It was written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. Originally recorded by The Crickets.

Good one Daryl. Want to tell us how this project came together? How long did it all take?

Sounds great. Though you should talk to your camera guy again. He's gone back to his bad old ways. :) :P

Thanks David.

The female singer is “wkolinko” she's 19 and from Poland.
The male singer is “simpolman” from Bolingbrook, Illinois
The drummer is “DeivitGreenRiver” from Catalonia, Spain
The rhythm guitarist is “jkorocker” from Mexico
The lead guitarist is “Javier” also from Spain

Does that help? ;-)

Thanks Michele. I really have no idea how the project came together. But what I did was find this collaboration already complete and downloaded the video and all the separate audio tracks. I then learned the song and figured out something reasonable to play on the bass. I recorded my bass playing, deleted the bass track in the collab and overlayed my video on the collab's video (along with my audio track). I was going to do the same thing with the rhythm and lead guitar tracks but decided that what they were playing just sounded great. What I did took about 3 hours in total.

I have found a number of other collabs that I hope to soon "modify".

Regarding my camera guy.....it's a little hard with my current setup to get the camera back far enough to capture my smiling face. I'll work on it.

That sounds like a great system that you can just pick a project and use the tracks you want. Very cool.

Re recording - I use the camera in my iMac as you know. (I'll update my system at some point). In order to get the right amount of me in the frame, I literally need to move my stool into the middle of the room. Then I can frame the picture properly on editing.

I have a wifi mouse. And I use a drum (djembe) as my mouse pad. The biggest issue is when I'm trying to also read the progression on my computer screen. :)

Anyway - that might give you another approach to try. :) Of course you always manage to sound great even when you don't have a head. Perhaps that's why you rarely sing. No head - probably no vocal chords either. :woohoo: :silly: B)

Thanks for the info. Great stuff.

Daryl,

I'm anxious to play along with you as always. As you know, I love when you include chords and lyrics! However, I'm not getting anything. Just a blank, black picture. Same with Chris and Corina's post. Anyone else having this problem???
