I made these stools for my daughter and I to play. One has a quarter sawn oak base with a cherry top. The other has a walnut top and walnut rungs with a cherry base. The legs are splayed in 2 directions and the angles made my head hurt. I used my lathe, router, bandsaw and table saw to complete these projects. Wasn't sure where to post but thanks for looking.

Hi Jimi,

They look great and I'm sure they are comfortable too. Very nicely done. I enjoy woodworking also.

Very nice Jimi. So important to be sitting comfortably when you play. I am always impressed by folks who can make items like this, especially out of wood as i really love wood.

They look amazing. Just curious why you used different woods for the two stools?

Very nice! I also enjoyed woodworking in a former life - before I spent my spare time learning guitar. Looks like great craftsmanship and beautiful wood. I can imagine the geometry of figuring out the leg angles!

Hey Thanks

Just trying different combinations of woods and trying to use up scraps that I already had.

Beautiful job Jim. And when they're not being a guitarists support crew, they look lovely.
