Some tweaking on Rose

The luthier who was at IGC2018 doing checkups on our guitars (I have his business card in my collection downstairs but can't recall the name off the top of my head) noted that Rose needed the B string nut slot deepened a bit and that the action was high so the whole saddle should come down.
Well, I d00d those things. :side:
The action is notably easier to play and she still sounds great so I didn't bork anything. Woo hoo! :woohoo:

Thanks!
Yep, setups make such a difference. I hadn't noticed the issues until then, really, but I took Rose to my open mic last night for a 3-song set and she played (and sounded) phenomenal. Three different people remarked at the tone, and one asked to play her with an eye to getting one.
I loves me my Gibby 339, but Rose is a close second. :side:

The only downer was with all the tightening and loosening of the strings the treble e of the Santa Cruz set broke. I only had the one set so had to replace it from one of my spare Earthwood sets.
No biggee, and the first pair of replacements from my subscription to Santa Cruz arrived this past week so I should again be all set. :side:

Credit where it's due: the luthier was Sangho Byun from Viacali Guitars, in Davis, CA. Thanks to his advice I also scored a very good digital string action gauge that was quite reasonably priced.

No, it's my PRS acoustic, the one I took to this year's International Guitar Camp. :side:

Hi Jonathon,
I just saw this message and figured it would be easy enough to answer your question myself. The guitar in the Water Song video was made by Ed Claxton in Santa Cruz, CA around 2004 or so. I also have a Santa Cruz FTC built for me by Richard Hoover and then partner Bruce Ross in 1981.
