I don't like Mondays

This is an extremely tragic song of epic proportions. In the late seventies, there was a mass shooting in San Diego whereupon a young woman went into her school with a gun and shot a bunch of people including teachers and young students. When asked why she did it, she responded "I don't like Mondays." Written by Bob Geldof of the Boomtown Rats of Ireland; it contains political ramifications that only music can provide and get away with; this song was released almost forty years ago. Music is a fine art and it knows no limits as to its nature and essence.

Hi Mike. Well done! Did you see Vanessa's lesson on this back in August? Fantastick! You could incorporate it here.

Hi Mike,

You have really improved a lot over a short period of time. It's been fun to watch the progress. Keep up the good work!

Well done. Thanks for the history lesson. I wasn't aware of the origins of this song. Not sure where I was back then. :-(

Thank you senior members of Totally Guitars! I really appreciate the support and encouragement to continue to practising until my fingertips are sore.

Good job Mike, very consistent all the way through!

Which means that you could actually add something more. ;) Please check out the lesson for it. As Chris pointed out, it was released right before IGC. There are certainly little things you could incorporate there, and that could take you to the next level of guitar playing too.

Thanks for sharing!
