Continuing with my lists of favorite songs for students to work on, this week I mentioned some of my top intermediate fingerpicking lessons. These are mostly a bit more complex and varied than last week’s alternate bass ones.

Before I got to those, I started with a short improv that just popped up when I started the camera and followed with some unexpected personal news.

Last week I also mentioned how Creedence Clearwater Revival was inspiring and influential when I was a teenager. Some of the fingerstyle artists that are in the same part of my memory banks include Paul Simon, James Taylor and Jim Croce. Their songs are a big part of this week’s list.

You’ve Got A Friend

Song For Adam
Alice’s Restaurant
Genesis
Moondance

Things got wrapped up with an instrumental take on Jim Croce’s I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song. I hope you enjoy it and get a chance to look at some of the other suggested tunes.
