This week we had a couple nods to the world of jazz. We brought my old friend Jim Bruno back in the fold with his lesson on Misty, the way he or I might back up someone singing it. Not surprisingly, he backed himself singing it as he is a phenomenal vocalist and instructor as well as jazz guitarist.

I also finally finished a lesson that had been percolating for a couple months on common jazz chord voicings using just four strings. And not surprisingly, it is called Four-String Chord Voicings.

We added a couple new lessons from Nesh as well – Eva Cassidy's version of The Water Is Wide and Do That To Me One More Time by The Captain & Tennille.

And on the personal and sentimental side, a song I wrote 26 years ago to the day was on my radar. It has been many years since I took out Papa's Guitar, and many years since I played the guitar or the song. The tune was a little rusty but I got through it and gave the shortest version of the story I could. It might be worthy of a lesson someday but it was nice to revisit it a bit today.
