This week quite a variety of things crossed my path, so the Weekly Update is a bit scattered and disjointed, not that that is unusual. I started with some thoughts about The Doobie Brothers because of a message I got recently from Jim Page, the author of The Ivory Salamander (Busted Down Around O'Connelly Corners), which led to the first story, with the requisite tangential diversions, of course.
Today's practical tip was tied to our recent lesson on Empty Garden by Elton John. It has been a while since I had an ear training component but this really seemed ripe for it. That carried over into today's video with references to some songs you should be familiar with, and can think about by number rather than just the chord name.
We also added another Bellamy Brothers song - Redneck Girl.
