September 26, 2025

I am still reviewing and reliving our Fall International Guitar Camp and it brought back some great childhood memories, well, really memories of the summer of 1969 when Mike Mullins and I got heavily into Neil Young. More on that later. First an update on our plans for the next camp in April 2026.

Due to high demand, and the fact that we are already overbooked, we will be having two camps on consecutive weekends. The first will be April 23-26 and follow the usual plan with the usual staff. The next week (April 30-May 3) we will be bringing back my old friend and colleague Max Rich as part of the staff. Online registration will open on November 15, 2025 unless we are already sold out to people on the waiting list. To get on the list, send an email to [email protected]. Each camp will be limited to 18 students.

Back to the ramblings of today's Update. Most of the time was spent talking and thinking about how influential Neil Young was on me and Mike. We loved picking up each album as it was released and figuring out all the songs. This was particularly memorable as we waited for Harvest to be released as we already had a bootleg called I'm Happy That Y'all Came Down, where he played many of the new songs.

This inspired our latest Super Pack - Neil Young - Heart Of Gold.

I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane.

Neil
