Collaboration on Elton John's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
OK. Just listened to your most recent recording with the midi file in the background. And I'm wondering what you need us for? That alone was pretty powerful. But it appears as though we are going after TG's answer to "We are the World", eh?

Ric, join in my friend! Can you sing the whole song through in F. It's only two half steps down from G so it should be ok. We can mix you in or do a version with you in there lead singing. No holds barred and no limits here. Maybe we end up doing a George Michael / Elton job. Go for it. PM me.
Willem. I'm using the capo 1 with the E D A chords because it fits for the singing better (for me!) but I also like the sound of the chords as they are richer.
Izzy, this is for everyone, maybe we do different versions and I may not be on one.... there is plenty of room here for those who want to participate. The original idea came from my sudden "need" to do this song but I wanted to make more of it than I can alone. So we need vocal, harmonies backing, guitar and e-guitar riffs and fill-ins. This will be so much more than it is at the moment. And you have to think away the piano part you hear... that will be replaced by guitars. And that's the fun here... we can all watch as it progresses and add what we can.

Looking for help: I have a technical question about the midi file I am using in the demo video. When I play this midi file in Cubase you can hear the tact ticking away, you hear it well in the video. But when I saved it (exported) and posted it in the thread I found that the tact isn't sounding. How do I save the file to include the tact?
It would be a big help if someone can advise me on that.
PS: I have no idea what I'm doing in Cubase!! Flying blind here!

I have a suggestion on this song. On the last line of verse two, moving the A from the word 'help' to the word 'love', see below.
D A E E7
But these cuts I have, oh they need love to help them heal Oh
Try it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks Ric that's spot on!
Let me have a little feedback. Is everyone able to make a start on this with the material we already have?
Who'd like to lay down the basic guitar track that we can use as a reference with the midi file?
Are the vocalist having a go at the harmonies, ohs and ahs or the lead?
I'm comfy with the timing at 74 bpm and with the midi. I'd like to get the click of the tact onto the midi file as it really help the timing, it's out metronome. Anyone help with that?
Dave can you tack on the bass using the midi?
