Does being in one of the teams preclude you from being in the other? In the same way as some people eg Dave Grohl are in multiple bands, are we allowing the same, or do you have to nail your colours to one mast only?

Uhhhh....I may have mentioned this before, but I sing and play guitar. I am happy to mix it too. :(

Good question Joe. If there are prizes involved, then shouldn't we restrict it to just the one team? At least for this round. (guessing there will be more rounds...)

Thanks Wandoctor, more than happy for you to add your vocals to the mix. I assume you saw that I had you down for mixing.

Looks like this is turning into a "battle of the bands" situation!

Nice :P

So, should I decide to join a band, is there a transfer fee for me ( I'm ready for the jokes, feel free!)

If there is to be competition, should we all be using the same recording software so we all start from a level playing field?

Joe for me it's about encouraging participation rather than competition. If you are keen to participate just let me know what you want to do. (I would LOVE someone to step up and record a reference version of Heart of Gold for example)

Hi Tony

At the moment, with the house move next monday, I've got no time to practice never mind laying a track down- I dont even know the song! When I get the chance to participate I'll let you know.

I'm hoping it'll be friendly competition which will spur all competitors on to better guitar playing- actually, knowing the people on this site, it will be friendly.

Loving the idea, just wish I had time to participate, I've done something like this before and the benefits to your playing can be enormous.

Tony

I don't mind doing that. I'm away this weekend, but hopefully by Monday I should be able to post something to use as a start point. Let me know.
