Good job. Marc mentioned a previous video. I'm afraid I might have missed that one. Could you point me to it? Isn't AVS a blast! BTW What audio editor did you use?

Tony - thanks mate. It's been quieter around here without you. I'm glad you're back.

Stuart - I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for your faith in my strumming skills. The multi- tracking was fun. I'm sure you'd have a ball with it. Re: Joan, you never know, but I don't have enough knowledge about her music at the moment to know whether any of her stuff will inspire me enough to learn it and work for my voice (besides house of the rising sun), but you never know.

Pierre,

I really liked that. Harvest is one of my favorite NY songs, and I loved your version of it. Michele is right- you've got such a pleasant voice; I only wished I could hear it more. But as someone who doesn't own a microphone for recording videos, I understand the low-fi approach.

Well Pierre, it was so very nice to finally meet you and even that close!

I really liked your singing, it's already been said, but you do have a very pleasant voice to listen to...and the guitarplaying, I'm not original again in saying this, but you really do have this swingtime feel, that was very good, I enjoyed it very much! Coins coins, more coins, haha! :P

Well you must understand, I'm looking forward to another video!

Lately I've finally been able to try getting used to playing in front of a camera ... here's a try with Neil Young's "HARVEST", a relatively simple tune played before a very simple camera. I also had some fun editing with AVS video and audio editors.

Pierre, that was amazingly awesome, it's so nice to finally see your face, postage stamped size as it may be :-) Really great pick control, I love the smooth strumming motion of your right hand, very relaxed yet precise.
Hope to see more from you soon. I was starting to think you had one of those new "anti-face" detection cameras.

Take care,

Thanks to all for the heads up and the encouragement for my scratching sounds and gargling stylizations, and also for your indulgence regarding my insufficient technical setup.

I recently had to decide between either upgrading to a more modern desktop computer or investing in a recording setup. Wasn't much choice actually, my desktop was ancient and not much use with multimedia.

But now I have a computer that could process the video and audio from a decent recording setup ... uggh!

Willem, ffsooo3, the AVS audio editing I did was just to remove the hiss from the background sound and did not decrease the volume. Thanks for straining your ears on this.

Mark, same here, looking forward to meeting again, hopefully Marc (Lavallee) will also be available.

D-dog, I haven't yet found how to generate a video from my dinky camera that takes up the whole screen in full-screen mode, but I hope that by "postage stamped size" head you refers to the embedded-size video in the thread view, and not the slightly larger version in the full-screen view (nor my actual physionomy). Thanks!

ffsooo3, my previous post goes back to last February. It was done with an even worse setup than the present video, but at least it can go full-screen.
Thanks for your interest, I don't know if I'm shooting myself in the foot here (skeleton in my closet), but here's a url you can cut and paste into the navigation bar:
