Wow!! Thanks for all the great comments.

Michele - Thank you so much. Magic Mojo Vodoo....................... I wish I knew. If I did I would bottle it and sell it.  Let's just say the voice that usually stays in the car came out to play.

Pierre - Thanks!!! I'm glad you liked it.

Tony - Thank you. Yup no guts no glory.........

Scott - Thank you!!! Certain songs stay in the memory banks. I practiced this for so long about a year or so ago that all it takes now is one or two run throughs. However there are songs easier than this that I've practiced for longer that I still can't get. Go figure...... Once again, thank you.

Ness - Thank you!!! I'm so happy you liked this. There are a few folks on here that I think about when I am getting ready to put up a video and don't want to disappoint them. You were one of them this time so I'm really happy you like this. Thanks for kind words!!!

Willem - Thanks!! I"m happy that made you smile!!!! You've always been there to respond to my posts which is very much appreciated. Thank you!!

Dennis - Wow!!!! I don't know what to say. Thank you very much. However I'm sure you'll hear it better today or tomorrow. I'm slowely getting there I hope. You certainly make me strive to get better.

Daryl - Thank you!!! Reveb is my friend.............. Just a little bit added to the vocals.

Chris - Thank you!! No going back...... I really do enjoy it. I just wish it wasn't so much work. I don't know what happened with this one. As I said to Michele, the car voice came out on this one. Don't know if I can do that again with another song. We'll see......

Pete - Thank you very much. High praise from such a huge Beatles fan.

Abilio - Thanks!!!!! I'm glad you enjoyed this one!!!

Whoa!! Mark- that was bang-on! As usual, your strumming rocks.. but you've brought your singing to a whole new level on this one.

CONGRATS!

Um....... wow? Mark! That was so good! Every, every aspect. Your singing was so improved from previous videos. It seemed to me exactly right. And your playing was so incredibly perfect for this song. I feel a little speechless because I was just so impressed. I'll be watching that video again!

VERY well done, Mark. You must be really proud of that effort.

Thanks Suzi!!!! I'm pretty happy with it. Missed a word here and there I think though. If I could just bottle this I'd be all set. This was totally off the cuff as my wife and girls left the house for dance lessons. I had some time and didn't have to worry about anyone hearing me. One cup of coffee and off I went..........

I've always considered Mother Nature's Son to be one leg of the holy trinity of Paul McCartney's lush guitar songs, the other two being Blackbird and Junk. Like a lot of people, I admired the sheer beauty and simplicity of its sound, yet I was always stymied when I tried to duplicate it on the guitar -- the result always being that what I was able to fumble through resembled some cockamamie campfire version that never quite satisfied me. Then, recently, I started listening to the song again.

One of the beauties of Mother Nature's Son is that it can be played as both a campfire song and a more fully fleshed version. And considering that it's a Beatles tune, and a damn good one at that, I've been surprised that it's not yet a Target song. I think it should be.

Knowing how bloated this thread has become, I tried to put the song in a new Lesser-known Beatles Songs busking thread, but the uploader wasn't having any of it. I spent 90 frustrating minutes screwing around with the uploader until I tried putting the song in the old Beatles thread. Buh-zing!

Anyway, here's Mother Nature's Son, warts and all. I didn't realize until YouTube had processed it that my vocal mic was a bit low. Sorry about that.

PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

Very well done Dennis. I've tried to play this song in the past and could never get the hang of it. You did a wonderful job with it! But I expected you to go right into "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me and My Monkey". Funny how the mind works.

Hey Den,

Well you've recreated a big full and lush sound there. The chorus effect (?) works well on this as do the places where you especially let the notes ring out. I like the different things you're doing throughout the song, including the slides and the bass notes. I really enjoyed listening to this.

I spent a fair chunk of Monday listening to my Beatles collection, and this was one that stuck out as being a song I wasn't that familiar with, but that I enjoyed a lot. The seemingly simple, yet beautiful rich sounds captured my ear. It's no wonder it's one of your favourites.

Well I really enjoyed this video den. You have a wonderful way of capturing all of the important elements in a song. I'm just trying to remember whether you've ever played a pure campfire version. ... Probably not, it's not allowed under the Showman's code. :)

Thanks for starting my Saturday with a big smile.

Love

Shel
