I get it Willem and you're so right to post her here!

I did watch some of Izzy's videos when I first joined the forum, there was also this thread at the time wich was about people missing her....I can see that she means a great deal to a lot of members over here.

However, I watched this video of course, and I really understand that this song reminds you of her or vice versa, this was súch a lovely and charming performance, I enjoyed it very much so!

So thanks for posting her in here!

Haha, thanks H. for noticing! :cheer:

And it's true, when singing that specific note and holding it, you must take a deep breath right before it, otherwise it's not going to work. And you shouldn't forget as well, so I was absolutely aware of it and I fortunately didn't forget either, haha, I always loved how NY did that, a fascinating moment! (4 Way Street-album)

Pierre and Vanessa,

I noticed the long hold (arrrrrrroooooooouuuuuunnnnnnnddddd) at the end and through all the harmonics. Just forgot to mention in my first post. Thanks, Pierre for bringing that up, because it is very noteworthy and many could overlook how significant this truly is. Good work, Vanessa.

Yeah, speaking of "disappeared" Where's Wall-Do? a.k.a. Wally...haven't seen him around these parts lately? Hope all is well with him, too.

Hey Ness, great job on this... really enjoyed the performance (all your performances, actually). Love the Harmonics.

Ness, there's a great line in the old Billy Joel tune Piano Man...."They sit at the bar and put bread in my jar and say man...what are you doing here?"

If that makes no sense to you, let me say it's a compliment. I had to try think of a new way to say "you're fantastic" because I think we're running out of superlatives!

By the way...I'm glad you ARE here. :)

John: Thank you very much John, thanks for stopping by and checking it out, am so glad you've enjoyed it! When can we expect a great song perfectly done by you again?! ;)

Tony: Tony.... ...what can I say....I just love being here and sharing music with you all.........I did had to ask about the piano man-line though, and yep, I got it, haha! :P ......you're so very sweet.....thank you...!

Chas: Hey Chas, yep it's CGCFAC alright! You remember that week? My guitar was protesting big time, haha, finally I just recorded this (since yóu didn't want to send me another steelstring! ) and got it back to standard tuning....but I think I might get myself another steelstring the coming week! Thank you very much for your kind words Chas, I really appreciate it and am so very pleased that you liked it! :cheer:

Cheers

Ness

Vanessa -

Another simply awesome performance. This is one of my favorite Neil Young songs, and you captured the vibe of the song perfectly while at the same time making it your own.
