Great job Suzi! That was a wonderful performance. The singing, playing and song choice all outstanding! The confidence you have gained really comes across in your videos now and that makes me so happy for you. Way to go!

Suzi:

Oh man was that fun to watch. It looked like you were ready to crack up at a few points in the song..... That song brings back some great memories from junior high for me. That album had another song called "Freeze Frame" and one called "Angel in Blue". Both were cool songs also at that time. Loved the intro and the strumming!

I mess around with "Down Under" once in a while too, so if you ever get that strum down, pass it on!

Thanks for this gem of an addition to this ever growing and expanding thread. Supper fun!

Geeeez.............if you're not going to enter into the spirit, Suzi!

Ha! Great to see that your time at "rawk camp" wasn't wasted. Loved the head nodding at the start.Too bad we didn't get the full pout - I guess you have to be standing up for that to really kick in!

Putting the fun to one side - which isn't that easy with this song - I thought you did a great job both on the playing and the singing. The little lick at the start sounded great and really set up the rest of the song which you played at a really good steady tempo. And it sounded to me like you had really good control over the vocals - which don't seem to be that easy on this song. And it does look like you were having fun - which makes it fun for everyone. I hope you are proud of yourself, Suziko.

Hey Suzi, great song... who'd have guessed that one! And so well sung too, that's quite a bit of singing to do. Great job girl! Now... where's the illustrative video inlay? Eh? Nudge, nudge. ;-) Too cool!

I hate to crowd the thread (it is pass the guitar time and Suzi will still be there all week!) but I scheduled a language lesson for you all today.... a popular German folk song, Heute Hier Morgen Dort by Hannes Wader from the early 70's in C/F/G.. easy!

Darryl, what a great idea of a thread. I do not visit very much these days and always for a short time only, but I take always a peak at this thread. Simplicity is always the real source of fun. I enjoyed all your videos: Darryl, Krista and Cori, Ness and Corina, Michele, Dennis: Mr showman, Reiver, Jim, Chris, Pierre: my good man, Buddy, Peter, Mark, Willem and Suzi. I hope I am not forgetting anybody.

The thread has brought joy in my crazy life

Thanks

Marc

Suzi,

Very nice performance. Nice playing and I enjoyed your vocals very much.

Hi Marc, Unfortunately the thread wasn't my idea. We all have to blame Michele. I just kicked it off. It is a fun thread none the less. I hope you will find a moment to add a video (and I hope you life calms down a little).

Hey Chris I think you messed up the lyrics in the 2nd verse! ;) BTW excellent playing. Very smooth. Nice little 3 chord song!

Well Chris, thank you for singing to me in the language of my ancestors! And it sounded
really cool!!...I did not understand one word of it though. Lol! (which is kinda sad, since I am an American with a common German lastname...Luders...umlau above the "u". Changed to "Lueders" to look less German. (Wasn't real hip to have a German surname over-here during wartime.) Look in any phone book in the U.S. and there R like a Ba zillion German, Dutch, Italian, Russian or whatever surnames...but the language got lost somewhere long the line. Most don't know the meaning or sigificance of their lastname.

IMHO...Best illustrated by Bruce Willis's character in the movie Pulp Fiction.
French Girlfriend: What does your last name mean?
(Willis) Butch: I'm an American Honey, our names don' t mean
sh-t!...

Anyways, before I went off on my mondo-tangent; I wanted to say I really enjoyed it! This site is like a Foreign language crash course like Rosetta Stone or whatever...lol!
Very Cool, Chris!!
Cori

P.S. Marc I hope things settle down for you too.
