Well Tony, I've been called worse things and I'm sure Michele meant well so don't begrudge her that remark.

I gotta admit you are quite getting there in the way of regular picking and strumming and delivery of heavy lyrics.

Can I suppose that you (like me) would have done somewhat better with the girls in high school if we had TG back then? Playing "Nights in White Satin" ! Ahhh ... back to reality.

Oh, at about 1min00 sec, when the lyrics are "gazing at people, some hand in hand", you look at the camera for the only time in the whole video ... was that intentional or unconsciious?.

Good job, Tony.

Pierre

Wasn't meant to be an insult, rather an image of how Tony is unstoppable at the moment. But, given it's 28oC and 88% humidity and rather sticky, I think I'm just dreaming of ice skating. Yep... off to get a cool drink.

Tony,
Nice job playing and singing. This song is difficult to sing, I only attempt it in the shower!
Another great post. Thanks for sharing.

Marc thank you. I have gently been giving the MB more opportunity. Learning about bands that I had previously shunned is a big part of TG for me.

Shel thanks. Absolutely no offence taken on the "hockey puck" comment, first because I know you would never set out to offend and more importantly because I took it exactly as you intended. Thanks for the encouragement. As far as playing a MB tune....I like to be unpredictable.

Dermot....I'm not sure....are you taking to me and wrote Chris by mistake? Or were you commenting on Chris' original? No idea. But I thank you...and I'm sure Chris thanks you as well! :)

Pierre I think looking at the camera adds to the performance but I don't want to stare at it the whole time. it was intentional to look when I did. Yes I think guitar could have helped me with girls. I needed help believe me! I was awkward with girls for sure....stunned by their beauty.

Craig thanks man. The shower is where I do my best work as well. Glad you liked it.

Nice interpretation. But I have a question on your finger picking. It looks like you were picking the root note for each chord (sometimes with the alternate bass note as well) EXCEPT for the F chord (you always played the C note on the 5th string). Is that how the bass line goes is the song (I don't know the song well enough)?

Well a lot of challenge's going on around here with Busking with TG ;) , great to see you taking up on that!

It's actually the only Moody Blues song I know and you played it really very nice Tony, enjoyed it, well done mate!

Cheers

Ness..

Daryl you hawkeye,,maybe a point for Tony to play the low F instead of the C in that Fchord..

@ Tony,,i toke a dive in the lesson and find for my self that when i take the G(barre third fret) chord up on the neck i'm in better position for the Fchord

I'm also not a moody blues fan and I still remember switching the radio dial when that song came on back in the day, but you did a nice version of it. And way to work the chapeau!
