Busking Pink Floyd
Please excuse my tardiness here folks, I thought I'd made a comment or two already... Must be an age thingy...
Anyway John absolutely brilliant well played and sung, I'd like to know more about the Open mic thing you are doing.
Who's next Brad, that showed such enthusiasm and your progress in such a short time is outstanding.
Ness, played with emotion and presence, really enjoyable.
Jay, man that just flowed maintained your tempo throughout and try as he might your boy didn't distract you whatsoever, very cute but very real! Well done.

It needs a little work (tempo, pulloffs), but it was fun to learn. This is in Drop D tuning, which is a little different than Neil's part 1 lesson which I believe is in standard tuning. I wanted to learn this song for several reasons, but mostly because the picking pattern is different than the ususal alternating bass pattern that I've done to death at this point.

Jay, this song seems to be a step into an even greater level of dexterity for you.
It's great to watch as you keep breaking down even more walls. I especially like the driving bass you maintain throughout.

It struck me as I watched Buddy's video that this song would be great to use Michele's PIP self-collaboration technique. I only vaguely recall Buddy's 1st version of this, but this one sounded solid. I'm looking forward to someone posting a video of Mother in this Pink Floyd busing thread.
Very nice Jay.... I appreciate it more now how well you play since trying to FP you make it look so easy... your boy was hilarious
Buddy great song and your playing is really good.. I really enjoyed this B) do you do any ccr songs i reckon they would suit you well, you have the voice to really belt them out..

I agree with Jay here. This version is much better than your 1st attempt (as I recall). Very solid. But it definitely needs a 2nd guitar part. It doesn't necessarily have to be a PIP (but those are always fun to do and watch - right Michele?).It struck me as I watched Buddy's video that this song would be great to use Michele's PIP self-collaboration technique. I remember the first version of this and you are definately making progress on this song.
Be careful with the notes that you are bending to get them in tune.
One trick I heard was to play the lick but play it by fretting the notes rather than bending them.
That way you get the sound of the riff in your head. Then when you play the riff, put the bends back in and the notes should sound the same.
Hope that makes sense
Hi BuddyI have Been refining this song a little, Hope you enjoy it.

That's sounding great Buddy. I like the way you're trying to incorporate the most important segments from the various guitar tracks. Tricky stuff. Neil will be very proud I'm sure, since that's one of his favorite things to do.
Nice work.
