MMMmmm...a cup of joe with your fresh bread this time heh? Well, this was frggin' fanatastic, man!

Your voice is absolutely great!!! The part what where the strumming takes off...WOW! you were getting a lot of volume & clarity out of the old imaginary pick there? Or did you have one tucked up in the fingers somewhere? Either way, great job!! You have immense talents Al! Brillant stuff! This song has a lot of little transitions and you handled 'em like a champ. I personally think you would have a LOTS of songs on the T.G. greatest hits compilation...

Way to o go DJ AcoustiAL!

Wow Al, that was fantastic, loved it! :cheer:

The song really suits your voice, and you've also done really well on the harmonies and the guitarplaying, gosh that was great! :woohoo:

Hey Craig- Glad you liked it. Looking forward to seeing 'Diary'.

Dean- Thanks. I'm catching up on, and enjoying your plethora of posts as well!

Scott- You got it right. I can do a better job of playing it when I'm not singing- as is evidenced by my earlier upload. You can see how I lost the plot a few times by not thinking ahead and missing the chord changes. Was fun to try though.

Bob! Thanks for the comments. Definitely not a song for the faint of heart. The highest I could go (and still be heard by the human ear) was the 3rd fret.

Willem- thank you my friend. Glad you liked it.

Cori- Thank you. But I'm actually not that happy with my strumming in this song. It's very basic and not very interesting. It is all I could muster though and still get the singing semi-ok. Strumming is definitely my achilles heel in a lot of songs.

Ness- Thank you for checking it out. I mentioned this before, but I think you'd do a great job on many Bread songs as well.

Very very nice all around. I am still lobbying (albeit very quietly) for a video showcase on the TG home page. This should definitely be there (along with many of your other videos).

Well once again...Kudos to Chris for his idea of having a thread devoted to alerts for the busking channel because I missed both Craig's and Al's. Very glad I have picked them up.

Craig: Great job man! I admire that one take philosophy, any I don't think it could have improved much, terrific job. I would look forward to you taking a shot at singing it but really, what you have done is just great.

Al: You did a simply terrific job of singing that. I can't even think about singing that high without getting an uncomfortable feeling in my loins. I really, really enjoyed it and I wish Fred was around to check it out...he once made a request for someone to sing it in tribute to his partner. Perhaps he might see it..who knows? I drink a lot of "coffee" at my desk at work by the way. Get's me through the day really well! Great job Al, as always.

Craig, nicely done ! I think the timing was pretty even all the way through ... and adding to that the fact that you played the notes just right for
a fairly long song means you do play it very well. Another song "in the bag", that's something we all need now and then.

Al, that was extremely melodious ... what always struck me about this tune is that it has such a relaxed, peaceful vibe but the lyrics express something quite different. It's a real pleasure to watch this.

That was great Al. It’s so nice to hear with the vocals added. As usual your sound is top notch all the way around.
Your voice suits this song very well even if you didn’t get up quite as high David Gates. In fact, if you didn’t mention it I probably wouldn’t have noticed.

Great job!

Hi Al, beautiful work. I noticed when you spoke there was some reverb effect which I was not sure if it was because you have a gigantic room, or actual reverb. Must be helium coffee you were having to reach all those high notes, great voice you have and great production again.

He who dares wins!
Singing David Gates deserves a medal Al, very nice job indeed! Love the sound of your set up... especially that Martin.
Where you been BTW... slumming it on some cruise ship again?
