Good on ya Krista! B) show that boy how it's done. :)

OMG! Bloody Hell! You two just get COOOOOLER with every upload.

I LOVE this!

Very cool guitar work Cori, I especially like the bends that match Krista singing. Great arrangement.

Krista - your voice is just to die for. I'd LOOOOOOOVE to have your tone, range and depth. You've got a fabulous quality to your voice. It's hypnotic.

Well another video that knocks it out of the park (can't say hit for six here).

great contribution to this thread.

What she said!

I don't know this song, but you two sounded great together. Great pipes and solid playing. It's been way too long since you guys have uploaded something. Thanks. Keep 'em coming.
What he said. Plus what she said.

Well, isn't that a happy little dance tune!

You can't live in Seattle, as I do, and not be a Nirvana fan ... and I love what you guys did with this quirky, somewhat disturbing, song. Really fine performances by both of you. It's not a song I would ever think of to cover, but now that I see what you did, it makes me want to explore it. That's the mark of a successful post.

Great job, guys! So nice to see the two of you back on TG and recording together. You guys never disappoint. Awesome vocals, Krista, and really nice playing Cori! Loved your mini solo. :)

Sweet Whitesnake poster, too :)

Not Familiar with the tune, so I just checked out an Evanescence Acoustic video. Cori your playing and Krista's vocals were just great.

Thanks for sharing

Who hasn't experienced Nirvana ? Not the concept (I wish), but the band.

I had 3 preteens in the house when Nirvana was in full tilt in the early 90's ...

I heard them mostly on the radio, while my guitar lay in the closet.

Now it's great to read the lyrics that you sing very very well, Krista !

Cori, that was spare and right on picking ! And it all seemed so relaxed.

A real fun time watching this, thanks :) Will watch it some more.

Sorry for being so late making the THANK YOU rounds...

Michelle- Cooler with every upload? Oh, how I wish that were true. You are TOO kind especially where my playing was concerned...SLOPPY...with a capital S.
Although I am obviously biased I do agree with you about Krista's voice.
Thanks again for the bump that was sweet of you. Also, thanks to you and
Daryl for your determination in actually watching the
thing...didn't think it was ever gonna upload. We've been using Krista's digital camera and I think our little Sony Bloggie actually used to do better for videos...I know it didn't take 4 or five hours to upload a five minute vid at least... Yikes!

Willem- 4 Non Blondes heh? I've heard Krista sing just goofin' around on that tune before. That one has a lot of blues riffing on electric and an acoustic at the same time but I dunno we just might try it someday...thanks for the idea.

Daryl Thanks Daryl, you're good pal.. glad you liked it. I've gotten pretty RUSTY I think I counted 3 flubbed notes, a couple missed notes, and highly questionable timing event...but what the hell it's a Kurt Cobain tune. :silly:
He was the king of flubbed notes. lol B) B.T.W. Everytime I see thirty thousand
some -odd views on this thread I have to do a triple-take. You birthed this baby and she
SURE has grown...let's all see if we can keep this sucker going

Dennis Thank You Very, Very Kindly! Your Happy dance tune comment got me...
:cheer: Quirky and Disturbing aptly described! I gotta say if there was probably one area of this country I'd like to live it would have to be Seattle! I love the Coffee; and I love the rain. Thanks again for your kind words!! I'd love to hear your take on the tune. Come to think of it..it would be nice to see you and Jamie do a duet again too! :)

Suz I'm gonna have to put your comments in the Far too Kind group as well!
Mini Solo....urrr that darn errant string/flubbed note deal-io in the middle...not my best work. Oh well good enough for 3 or 4 chords and good enough for Grunge I s'pose. Glad you liked the WHITESNAKE BANNER! I acquired that in college somewhere.. it kinda fits our "Pop CULTURE THREW UP AESTHETIC ROOM"...very cheesy, very kitsch! Also, it reminds me of TAWNY K. YOWZERS!!
P.S. I'd love to hear a song from you one of these days!!

Bart Thank You for your nice comment! (Ah, we have our moments.)

Vanessa Thank My friend!! Your comments also belong in the Far too kind
group!! (I don't feel my playing did Krista's vocals justice on this particular take...but we both agree it was her best vocal performance...I wish I had done my accompaniment better on this take. I'm trying to con her into uploading another take so I can be less fumblely fingers.lol I hope your hard at work on some other rare gem for us!

Bob Thank you very MUCH!! :) If nothing ese this got you to look up a song you
had ever heard...that's great! Thanks Again for you r kind comment!

Tom- THANK You SIR!!

Pierre 3 preteens ALL at once? You poor, poor man! No wonder you have developed such a quirky sense of humor. Also I had to laugh at your comment about finally understanding his lyrics....hahaha   When I first heard Teen Spirit I didn't know what he was saying...what'd he say? A Mosquito? Mashed Potatoes? what? It wasn't until a few years later that I heard the Tori Amos version of the song that figured out what the lyrics were. Weird Al got the parody right. "Here we are now,we're Nirvana. And we don't sound like Madonna. Sing Distinctly we don't wanna!" Thanks for your kind words and glad you enjoyed it!!!

Cori & Krista,

Wow! Nice work on this one. I'm not familiar with the tune, but that doesn't matter. You did a fine job on it. Keep it up. You're fun to watch.
