Yes, I was thinking "G". And I tuned my guitars before I recorded. Does something not sound right?

sometimes I get a bit confused,,,chords in Gmaj are ,,G-Am-Bm-C-D-Em-Fdim..
Those are the chords in the key of G major (except I think it should be F#dim not Fdim). But one doesn't have to ONLY play those chords in a song.....
Your right a bout the F#dim,,I know we can use other chords in a song,,I was just a bit confused and I could'nt place what they did,,oke the A7 and D7 I could place..I will check it out,,I have the song in C and there is a G/B and Gm/Bb also an F and Fm,,,thx

Make You Feel My Love

(G) When the rain is blowing (D) in your face
(Dm) And the whole world is (C) on your case
(Cm) I would offer you a (G) warm embrace
(A7) To make you (D7) feel my (G) love

(G) When evening shadows and (D) the stars appear
(Dm) And there’s no one there to (C) dry your tears
(Cm) I could hold you for a (G) million years
(A7) To make you (D7) feel my (G) love

(C) I know you haven’t make your (G) mind up yet
(B7) But I would never do you (C) wrong
(C) I’ve known it from the moment (G) that we met
(A7) No doubt in my mind where you be (D7) long

(G) I’d go hungry I’d go (D) black and blue
(Dm) I’d go crawling down the (C) avenue
(Cm) Know there’s nothing that I (G) wouldn’t do
(A7) To make you (D7) feel my (G) love
(A7) To make you (D7) feel my (G) love
You and she sounded beautiful Daryl,,,sorry a bout my confusing. B) really nice key too..

Edit: My key of C folows your key of G,,I saw in the Key of C it as something to do with a bass line.....

Hello Daryl,

Nice job with this song! You are Mr. steady Eddie when it comes to the tempo and chord changes. I didn't know this was a Bob Dylan song but will do some research on it now and find out when he wrote it and who all has performed it. I'm pretty sure it was the theme song to a movie during the past couple of years, Sandra Bullock was in it I think? I'll figure it out....

Nice job!
Bart

EDIT: Hope Floats is the movie, from 1997. My gosh time really does fly....

I think I got it Daryl,,and it is just an suggestion for trying out,, try these chords G-D/F#-Dm/F so instead of D and Dm you try D/F#,,and Dm/F and I think Cm also in open position(is that possible?)...

I tryed to play that song ones for a related girl friend and she said she was used to that bass line?? I don't know... B)

Yes a Cm in the open position is possible. Just not "natural". Try xx1013 (that's Eb G C G).

As I've said many times before, I'm a very undisciplined player. I typically play what I "feel" or "sort of hear". If you want to be a good player, follow Neil's words of wisdom.

Hi Daryl lovely song that I did not know (one of the many). Was the bass played on a McCartney bass?
