Cool David. The how-to is earlier in this thread with a link to a video.

Congratulations Al, many great vid's and a lot of help in that 1000+, I know I account for a dozen or more myself and with all the new (to me) things being discussed I might still need a tip or two now and then. Much appreciation for all you have done for me and TG, you and the TG'rs like you are what makes this a really neat place to learn and share. Gary

It worked fine for me on XP Pro, no problems.

I'll try it on XP Home later.

That's great David. Thanks for trying it out. Time for you to do a video with it now! :)

I also heard from Joe who has gotten his to work as well- but with different code for Vista.

So all's good in the world of TG!

Hey Al
That's true, I've downloaded a program on a 14 day trial which gives the effects I need (I've been advised that most of the effects stay on your system after the trial-here's hoping so!- if anyone is looking for split screen for XP or Vista, then PM me and I'll happily let you know which site I got it off (not that I can vouch for the site, as today was the first time I used it! Use it at your own risk)

I finally took the time to figure out how to download youtube videos to my hard drive. I ended up using a free download called "youtube downloader" which both downloads and converts to whatever file type you choose. It worked. Now I'm off to learn about AVS as I'm intimidated by the changes required to make moviemaker work. AVS sounds pretty easy to use. The only downside, I guess, is having to buy it. Moviemaker is obviously free.

Jay,

You can download the free version of AVS and use it just fine. That's how I edited Tony's and my last collaboration.
