Just wanted to let you know, there are two moose in my yard right now.

Don't know if they are chocolate moose or not, but after your comment Saturday (your sunday morn) I thought I'd share

Here's a picture of a local that visited me recently in MY back yard.

But, I don't think raspberries go as well with rosellas.

He, he...

Heres our little backyard friend, We have no idea how we got him as we are quite far away from other water sources, he's not even a native to NZ frog

Chas - Is that a green and gold bell frog. That's an Aussie. How'd he end up is cold NZ?

Lisa - What a gorgeous lizard! Such a striking colour.

That's what we thought he was, since we took that pic we have seen three more in our pond, as they get larger or maybe cos it got colder they have turned darker brown. Having said that I saw one yesterday and he was lighter green again. We have had much warmer temps than usual this past year and this summer we are hitting the low 30's Celsius.

We also get the occasional lizard here, Gecko's all brilliant colours ; our dogs go berserk and chase them, very rarely do we see them funny that!

Wow, those are such very colorful critters. Must be a photographers dream.

We have larger lizards in our yard sometimes.
